Work weekend was a success! Here is just some of

Work weekend was a success! Here is just some of the work accomplished by DL volunteers:

At DL Adirondacks, the Timberwolf log build was completed and moved into place. Hemlock Chapel was brought back to life, a "Boulderball" (Gaga) court built and camp received great care before being “tucked in” for winter.

At DL Blue Ridge, a small team worked on local recovery efforts in the Asheville area, the deck of Nuthatch cabin was replaced and 2000 feet of water line was run. Boss!

As Deerfooters share resources, volunteer in recovery work and care for neighbors, we can also acknowledge the deep, everlasting shelter of our God.

As we look ahead and pray for those in Florida who are bracing for Hurricane Milton, we look back and give thanks that DL Blue Ridge was spared major damage from Helene. We are grateful for the hard work of staff and volunteers to prepare camp in advance and respond in the midst of the storm.
